Questions we often get.
Does any video leave the device?
No. Vidar is private-by-design. Detection and counting happen on the sensor's own NPU, CPU and RAM. Only the numbers reach your phone, never the footage.
What does Vidar need to run?
A power point and Wi-Fi. Vidar is mains-powered, so there are no batteries to change, and it connects over dual band Wi-Fi with WPA2 PSK.
How quickly do I see the numbers?
In real time, with less than one second of latency. Your history builds up from day one, so you can compare days, months and seasons.
Is it compliant with India's data protection law?
Vidar is built to be DPDPA-compliant by design. No faces or footage are stored or uploaded, only anonymous counts and patterns.
How many devices will my space need?
It depends on your floor size and layout. Each Vidar has an 80° field of view with adjustable range. Tell us about your space and we'll recommend the right number.
